How the hell do I Wiki?

Good question. I certainly hope one day to have a help page as grand as this but until then that one will have to do. Just replace "Wikipedia" with "Wikiopolis" when reading and you are all set! Formatting articles is covered here

To create a new page just type in http://www.acrmedia.com/wiki/index.php?title=This_is_blank to your address bar and edit "This_is_blank" to be whatever you want as your topic's title. Or you can just search using your topic's title and when no results come up you can click on the create a new article link. The best way is to link to your topic in an already existing article and then click on that link to create the new page.

Some basic tips

• Linking between articles is easy! Just surround the word (or words) with double brackets [[ ]]. For exaple, to link to the article about Kurtz, just type in [[Kurtz]] and the wiki will automatically create the link when you save the page. Multiple words work too, like [[Goblin King]].

• To put your article in a Category, just type [[Category:Pudding]] at the bottom of the page and replace Pudding with the category. For advanced category help, look here.

• The Wiki provides helpful formatting buttons just above the text box to help your editing, just like the forum does. You can Bold, Italic, Wiki-link, Web Link, Make Sections, Show Images, Media Files, Math, Disable Formatting, Signature, and Horizontal lines all without needing to know the codes.

• Click edit at the top of any page to see how that one is formatted. This is one of the best ways to learn.

• Try out different things in the sandbox.

Most important of all is don't be afraid of screwing things up. There is plenty of information still to be added (just try clicking any of the help links) and I am still learning as well.

Once you have the basics down, check out Wikipedia again for all the cool advanced tricks.
